Vitaloni reproduction mirror critique

I purchased a pair of the Vitaloni reproduction mirrors from IAP:

I mounted the mirrors on both sides of my car. The holes in the drivers side mirror lined up identically with the holes from the original mirror. Regarding the passenger side: IAP says "Made for driver's side; can be mounted to passenger side but hole pattern will be different." The mounting doesn't match, but I think they look just fine--you'd never notice unless you studied them.
When the top is down it's easy to look over your shoulder to check the right hand blind spot before changing lanes, but the mirror provides a good view back there when the top is up.
These mirrors have black surrounds-unlike the original that had white plastic. The surrounds are soft--unlike the original mirror plastic.
Also, the mirrors have a bit of negative magnification--making the field of view larger than the originals. I'm very happy with my new mirrors. Now I've got to get on with the rest of the restoration!
