Hello Fiat lovers,
Well I’m doing the big move from Colorado Springs, CO to Sacramento, CA (Cameron Park area). It's a 1250 mile drive. I'm running thru the car to make sure i can not only make it but drive after. I have two mountain passes so I’m a bit nervous. I've completely replaced the cooling system (radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, and fan) and added (2) 1550cfm electric fans as well, replaced the front brakes with rotors and pads, break fluid flush, replaced the top, did a royal purple oil change, new tires, spare plugs, plug wires, coil, battery, H.I.D head lights, heat wrapped the headers, new exhaust, new timing and accessory belt, checked timing is correct, new fuel filter, all new front suspension and almost new rear suspension, alignment, I’m doing a transmission flush with GL-1, I’m doing a differential flush with 80w90. I'm not sure what else I need to do or should check for as this 1979 2000 is still new for me. She runs and feels great. Any suggestions would be fantastic. Once again thanks for all the help I really couldn't have done all this without everyone’s help and guidance so far. I know I can count on all of you!

Only thing that may leave you stranded is a bad pick up coil or ignition module that I dont see on your list. Otherwise it seems like your set. Make sure you have air in your spare and the jack and lug wrench just in case.

I'd look at the flex coupler on the driveshaft and perhaps carry a spare fuel pump, as well as ignition parts. How is the spare tire? and I'd make sure to carry at least 1 gallon of water
Re: Insepction for a 1250 drive
Great suggestions. the flex joint was replaced 3000 miles ago, i did air up the spare which was low, i got the tire iron and jack along with extra slime and air compressor kit, a five gallon gas can, the extra ignition and fuel pump i will get and carry as i will have a mini 300 piece tool kit. which electric fuel pump is best. One is installed but i can't tell which one it is? I'll buy the parts at IAP and have them two day shipped and finished next week before i go??? Thanks
