Have a 78 with california smog on it. Finally got it running but when it gets to 190> it lugs down and runs rough
the EGR valve works when vacuum line is pulled off . I can follow the line to the electrical valve an also to the intake manifold
theres a two port vacuum/temp operated valve. these i understand are hard to find. i did find one at $42 + called a red valve.
any help is appreciated.

the egr valve shouldn't open at idle, that will cause very rough running. It should be connected to ported vacuum and only open once the engine is warm
