Hey guys,
I might finally buy an old Fiat, A guy I met has an 83 spider for sale and it needs a ton of restoration. I can pick it up cheap but it has sat for 2 years. Where is a good place for me to buy parts for cheap? I need to buy new carpets for it
Also, he mentioned that he hasn't done any wiring to it, how much should I expect to pay to have the wiring gone through by a professional? I live in Charlotte NC. I can get it running and should have no problem with the body work and painting and putting the interior together, I just want to get an idea of how much I'm going to pay to get this on the road and in good condition. I would need stuff like a dash, carpets, seat covers, then paint and it would be pretty solid. Then get it running and have the wiring run through by a professional, I don't mess with wiring
I might buy an 83 spider just want some advice

Why do you assume wiring is a problem? Just curious. I've got a 1971 and most of my wiring is still stock.
For things like interior trim, check out sources like

http://www.mrfiat.com - tends to be more expensive
and of course ebay - lots and lots of good quality parts available for our cars on ebay.

I assume because someone told me their wiring was not very reliable. I'm starting to get pretty excited, I'm going to look at it later today and I think I might buy it. I would have to trailer it home, but I have been wanting a project car for a long time and I hope to get this ready for the street in a few weeks! I drive a 92 Range Rover right now with locking diffs and big tires and I want to let it sit more since the locking diffs don't like the street so much
