Just thought I would post some new pictures of the compu-tronix ignition. I installed it under the wiper valence and run the signal wiring up through the drain tube. The spark plug wires are run down and behind the heater and out trough the fire wall, I used early GM fire wall grommets with 4 holes to hold the spark plug wires. If I have to change the spark plug wires in the future it might be a task but what’s life without challenges.
Thanks for looking
Ken

Neatness counts The install and whole engine bay looks great. No overflow bottle?
Can only wish mine would look as clean.

Ken
what brake master cylinder are you using? It looks like a GM unit

Re: My compu-tronix ignition Installation
I just put the radiator in day before yesterday and haven’t had time to find or make an overflow bottle but it will have one it’s the windshield washer I may not be putting back on, haven’t made up my mind yet.
The brake is a GM type, the booster is a 8 inch double diaphragm and I should have used a 7 ½ inch, its just to close to the rear carburetor.

Ken, nice car, but you do know that, where you put the coil It will get wet if it rains. Plus i see that you ran the wires down the drain hole.

Re: My compu-tronix ignition Installation
Ted, if you check out his other post you'll see that he has bigger problems than that if it rains. He's made it into a roadster with no top or side windows. I guess that when he gets that far he could get one of those covers that goes over the windshield and would come down all the way over that cowl. they usually are even shaped to have bumps for the headrests. That would be cool, Ken. You should get right on that....

Re: My compu-tronix ignition Installation
I would imagine that its a sunday car with no top. Not for everyday, so i dont think its gonna see rain. I havent had a top on my car in 5 years. Got stuck in the rain one time. I was following Mark down the 210 fwy and it started raining. We just drove faster and started passing cars It was pretty cool, didnt even get wet.
The 210 with no rain, unfortunately that hardtop is gone.

Re: My compu-tronix ignition Installation
Rey, you must have a good ebrake to keep the car from sliding off that slope
Re: My compu-tronix ignition Installation
does the computronix system have a vacuum line ran to it? i cant see if it does or not...
Re: My compu-tronix ignition Installation
no vacuum on the Computronix unit. Vacuum advance is for fuel mileage, not performance
