I wish it was closer. I'm in Swansboro (near Jacksonville). That's 500 mile round trip for me.

Just saw this post. Did your meet and greet ever happen? If so are you planning another one. I am a new owner since last October. I live in the Winston Salem area and there are only three of us that I know about. Would love to come down to the next one.

And I just saw this post. We just meet on Sunday, in Concord and some of the Winston folks made the trip. Get in touch with Denise!

It would be nice if these meetings were held on a Saturday or earlier in the afternoon on Sunday's. I have commitments at church starting at 5:00pm on Sundays so am unable to attend late afternoon or evening.

I did one that coordinated with the Italian car show in south Charlotte a year or 2 ago, and Chris has organized the last two. But anyone can. The more the merrier.

Cool. Post a pic of your car (if you haven't already) so I know who it belongs to. Mine is on the first page.

Looking forward to meeting.

Thanks Gene.

Nice. Did you replace the bumpers on the car or was it the PO? How long have you owned the car?

Do you know Denise? If so, she's coming down from your area and you may want to hook up with her.

First of all I made a typo. my car is a '78 not a '79 and I've owned it for year and a half. As for the bumpers, I took those heavy " COW CATCHERS" off and found this '68 bumper had it re-chromed. Yeah I know Denise she's a great person . We are in the same car club in Winston. I broke the spider gear in my rear-end back in January and after a lot of heartache, time, and money I happened to be talking with Denise and she said she had one in her shed. I traded her four wheels with tires for it. Runs great. I just finished making a tonneau cover for my car. Always wanted one ever since I had a '57 MGA in college. I am looking forward to coming down and meeting more Spider owners.
