I bought the Complete set from O&S Oldtimer and Sports Cars in Germany. I have a New carpet set as well, this i bought from ebay a long time ago. If i remember correct i think the Company name was J&W Specials. The quality of the carpet set looks nice, it have another structure than original. I have not installed it yet so i cant say anything about fitment.QuebecFiatSpider wrote:Just curious, have you bought a replacement carpet kit for your spider? If yes to whom you decided to buy from?royn wrote:Hi QuebecFiatSpider,
I got the lowering springs from Germany. I bought a complete set with springs and shocks. The shocks seem to be made in Italy and are oil filled.
When you say you bought your springs in Germany, did you buy them from «SpiderPoint»

Re: 1982 Fiat Spider 2000 restoration project
Thanks a lot for Nice comments and i wish you all a Happy New Year !
I finally got the doors and the trunk lid back on. I am very happy with the gaps and the doors seem to work fine. When i installed the front bumper i forgot the brackets for the indicators. I had to remove front bumper again to install the brackets. It`s not the first time one step forward and two steps back !!

It's looking amazing! Wonderful interior (and nice steering wheel...). Hopefully you'll be up and running for convertible season in Norway. (I'm not sure when that is but you must have a few good weeks in the summer...)
Please keep posting - really looks great.
Peace.

I just went through your build thread for the first time and I must say I am very impressed with the quality of work and attention you are giving your Spider. It is truly magnificent.

Re: 1982 Fiat Spider 2000 restoration project
Thanks for Your Nice Words.
I really hope to have the Spider up and running before the season starts. We had the best summer ever last summer !! Hopefully we will have some convertible weather this summer as well No weather will stop me from driving anyway
In the meantime more work.. I finished mounting the side windows and the mirrors. I moved the mirror from its orginal position and added a right mirror.

Re: 1982 Fiat Spider 2000 restoration project
Hi - just purchased a project car a few weeks ago. Just looked over some of these restorations threads. The two I have went though are amazing (and intimidating). Great inspiration!
I may start a thread to illustrate my project work that I aspire to 'look good from a distance', not like you craftsmen. Thank you for sharing - your work is great.
