Thanks Andy! But I will say, it was the most grueling and painful part of the project! The results are rewarding but an easier method would be nice!

I did get door bumpers and door loom in today so spent the last hour rigging some more stuff in the drivers door.



Not completely satisfied with the jamb end mount but I can mess with it later if it drive me crazy. Should have sorted it out before I painted the jambs.

Still lots of stuff to clean up and reinstall in the door. I did get new window regulators some time ago so at least I don't have to clean those.

One baby step closer to "spring thing"!!

I have been impressed by the Dynamat especially if you put it on the firewall inside the vehicle and use aluminum ductboard tape to join it and seal the edges/openings. On my F53 you could not hold a conversation with the passenger sitting next to you before I installed it and after you have to turn off everything that makes noise and be quiet to hear the engine idling. Heat infiltrating into the cab was dramatically reduced too.

Drove her out of the garage under her own power for the first time in over two and a half years! Wow!!! That's all I've got!!



Took her around the block a couple times. Had to remove the cold air intake hose in the wheel well to make sure that was the source of rubbing. I'll have to reroute that a little. Otherwise, rack and pinion steering slick as silk, brakes need more bleeding, timing needs adjusted, carbs need adjusted and I could use some brake lights but...wow!!

A little different story today. I made adjustments and started the car again. This time I have a little white smoke blowing. My best guess is head gasket into cylinder as there is moisture at the tailpipe and no leaks anywhere else. Oil is perfect with no sign of water and water is clear as well. This tells me that I have a leak in the head gasket that is only between a water jacket and a cylinder. Does that make sense?

I had a Porshe 944S that did that......easy fix but still sucks!! Damn Grimlins!
