Curious Pat, what are you using for an exhaust manifold? Maybe the tank just looks bigger than it is...
I'm nervous for you as far as fit goes.

I don't think it will be a problem, I am sticking stock exhaust that I have had ceramic coated ( Chromex ). But if it is I can always get another one that is a bit smaller. Here is the before shot of the bay with the overflow removed.....looks like there is room...fingers crossed. I don't have to worry about the distributer as I am converting to the ignition module.

I have visible progress....ok for the amateur like me...Scott has done some beautiful detail work on the car it is hard to see all the changes he has made to perfect this car body. It has it's first coat of real primer!!

As for the final color I am really torn...I love the Ruthless Red however it is a three stage paint and if it is damaged it is an nightmare to correct. Scott and I have started leaning to gloss black....it will really make the polished stainless stand out. PPG is having a show in Auburn Washington this Sunday and they will have their company show semi tractor trailer with the company customizer's. The wife and I will make our final selection then.

New panel bead trim lines...look perfect!

The hood,,,,all the rolled edges are smoothed out. Look how perfect he was able to get the radius turns on the hood bulges!

This is flat black primer.....the door is so smooth it reflects!! So do the fender ridges

Here are some overall primer pictures, see if you can spot all the body changes!

And of course the carbon fiber spoiler!!

Wow I am really getting pumped to start putting things back in....but we still have a long way to go. I start Vacation this weekend so we are going to work diligently on the interior planning

I may be a little slow......so you want red?? I am truly torn at this point I LOVE the red but the gloss black would be very cool...hopefully at the paint show this weekend I will be able to pick.

One thing to think about: I love gloss black and it looks amazing, but in my experience it is very difficult to keep clean. You'll be washing your car a lot if it's black.

I agree with aj... And the more you wash the more you create spider webbing and light scratches

Still think the flat black is kinda cool, maybe in a RatRod sort of twist. But, seriously! Red fits so well!
If I was in a different situation and could paint my car where it sits, with all the panels off, I would seriously think about red!
It is Italian after all!!

Today's progress is way over the top....Scott is wet sanding the sealer coat to ensure it has no orange peel....way over the top in perfection. This is NOT finish paint

I can't wait for the final color........looks like a lot of you really favor the candy red.....truth be told so do I....but I will wait until Sunday's show to make a commitment

Thank you all for your encouragement!
