Most vendors post here and follow the guidelines, which are FAR different than Facebook. I feel my posts on the Fiat Facebook page encourage people to buy Fiats' product. After all, if Fiat doesn't sell any cars, there is no market for my product. I've mostly posted pics of Spiders that have undergone restoration. I've also promoted this site, believing that many people that are discovering the new Fiat would be interested to know there is a thriving Fiat community in existence.

The hypocrisy is that Fiat is encouraging the aftermarket to develop parts and modify cars. Since my line of parts is sold through many of the dealers, I'm not competing with them but offering an opportunity for them make the cars more desireable and thus more saleable.

I was out visiting the new Fiat dealer in my area yesterday since they just opened. Several prospective owners that were shopping came and asked me about the mods to my 500. I encouraged them to buy 500s, extolling the virtues of the car. The salesman seemed to appreciate the experience of an owner, as word of mouth is pretty important to prospective buyers. I feel the same way about my participation on the Fiat Facebook page.

As for vendors being banned here, if you do a search I believe you will find most of the vendors active here with links to their sites or products and discussions about their service, etc.

Personally, i'd'love to see a "Vendor/Supplier" tab, showing products new and exciting, to those of us that appreciate old and exciting cars.

Mark (gracious host) posts his, and I always click and take a look, wishing by bank loved me a bit more!

Thx all, love this site!
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, we have decided to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Spiderverde, I apoligize. Sometimes I get confused. :D I joined a mitsu site when I had my turbo eclipse. All newbies were allowed in on a trial basis first. If they were mouthuy or disrespectful to a member or the site, they were dumped. If someone complained about them or they regularly gave bad advice, they were booted. I dont think thats such a bad thing now. it kept the drama away.

RedAuto, you may be outnumbered here. Most of us appreciate what Mark does for our cars and for the forum. It's not even his forum but he donates his time to keep it going for someone else. We certainly don't appreciate people coming on the site voicing baseless innuendos and generally trying to cause grief. If you don't appreciate FS.com for what it is, you are free to find another forum. If you would like to continue to be part of this forum, then please show respect for Mark and the rest of us. We were brought together because of a car but we stay because of the wealth of knowledge and friendships we've made along the way.

I believe Red Auto is a vendor, and what appears to be an angry guy, same tone and anger exhibited on Mirafiori. He made almost the same post there.

I don't see anywhere on this forum where he was abused so he must be a poser.

So let's all ignore Red and his buddy beachboy's crap and get back to what we like to do best - talk about how great our cars are and more importantly, how to keep them on the road.
Keep up the good work, Mark!!

Oh the irony of life these days! Last week, the same social media group that threatened me over Fiat's Facebook page called and asked me to be a sponsor for one of the 500s that Fiat is building for SEMA. They wanted one of my front lip spoilers for a lifestyle concept car in the Meguiers' booth. We had a chat about the email they sent and they gave me the inside tip for promoting products on Fiat's page. The result was that they picked up a front spoiler today and want to help promote my products on Facebook
