Re: can everyone post a pic of their spider?
I disagree to a point. To me the most handsome configuration is the early bumpers. The late bumpers look like an afterthought and downgrade the appearance of the car. This is true of all the sport cars of that era. MG, TRs, Alfas, etc.
As a body and fender guy, i have had the chance to see cars stripped of all their apertenances. The pininfarina cars of this era were designed with the bumpers providing an artistic highlight to the overall legendary body designs. It is this feature that actually makes a bumperless car acceptable. As beautiful as the basic pf body is, i still think it loses the artistic balance without those early bumpers.

Wow, that is sweet!
What can you tell us about the cold air box?
So how did you come to buy such a nice Spider?

Took the plenum off and realized the adapter doesn't cover the carburetor. So it was useless. I ordered an air filter that will fit the 32/36 DFEV Carb.
I was looking for a 67 Datsun 1600 but couldn't find anything in my price range. Was looking on craigslist and this car popped up at a great price. The previous owner had bought it and was sitting around so he wanted to price it for a quick sale.
The car is rust free and in great condition.

I noticed them as well, that style are usually made by campagnolo, not as common as cromodoravandor wrote:Great looking wheels too!

Her is my 1979 spider parked near an old plane at the vintage aircraft museum in Hamilton Ontario Canada summer of 2014.
