new vendor
Re: new vendor
Nick, on my stock gauges, I had to take the speed-o cable off the trans and push it into the dash to connect to the head. Good luck!

Re: new vendor
I've placed several orders with P.F. and have been happy with the parts and service I have received. Val sent me several emails to help with my ign switch issue and a follow up to make sure it worked, (it turns out the P.O. had incorrectly wired my switch). All of my orders have been shipped the same day and well packed.

I too have been impresses with Performance Fiat. I have only placed one order, which has shipped but hasn't arrived yet but the customer support has been Fantastic! Val has written at least 4 emails addressing concerns or questions that I have had and has made every effort to make sure my parts go on quickly and easily.
Re: new vendor
Boy I'm glad I didn't bring up this post.
I'm sure we all understand that Performance Fiat just like hopefully all the other vendors will stand by their products plus help with any other concerns. Let's be happy Fiat people! LOL

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, we have decided to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Re: new vendor
I used almost every single vendor while restoring my car. I can tell you that not every part was perfect or shipped perfectly. Some things were not what I expected and I returned them. Some original parts were crap and some reproduction parts were crap. Some parts did not even fit when I was told they would. Then when we installed it, either something else would fall apart or not work the same. I crate shipped a new hood it arrived with a huge dent in it and I had parts missing in action from UPS!
Yes it drove me completely crazy most of the time. But they were all very helpful and refunded and exchanged without any fuss. Often times, I had to be a bit patient while they got back to me while they researched the problem. While I have not used Val, I do know him personally. He does not have a large warehouse with a call center or secretary answering the phone. He's a one man show, trying to get a new home business off the ground. I'm sorry you did not get what you expected, and I'm glad it got all sorted out.

Re: new vendor
I think the whole thing kind of funny. Veglia gauges used to come new in the box fogged up. Speedometers from FIAT were $400 at the dealer in the early 80's. The same gauge with a little Bull in the middle sells for $1200 and up, and with Jaeger written on it costs $900. All the same gauge.
Not sure what the point I'm making is here. I guess that cheap gauges are, well, cheap. They aren't sealed very well, seem to want to fog up, and corrode after a few years.
If you want to bash a vendor you certainly missed out on some doozies that are out of business - thank god - there are still a few stinkers but Val certainly isn't one of them.
