Sorry ,I have missed this post until now. There is some interesting info on here.I just cut the cat off my car ,so it is a straight run to the Ansa on the rear. Not too loud at all!You could barely see daylight thru my cat, definitely clogged, and the car does rev better! I was told by the p/o that they had 'cleaned out' the cat...NOT !!
Gus is a FLU member from Pa. I bought that intake unit because of the innovative brace on the MAS. The other available systems left that up to you. Also, considerably cheaper than the IAP system, although you do have to get your own K&N. The perf. gain with any intake is very slight, because of the nature of our Bosch F.I. system.I bought mine because t looks so much better than the factory 'shoe box' filter housing.

I would not think you would be able to see light thru the cat regardless of condition. I'd think your better off without it anyway. thanks for the pic, the intake looks good on your car. I want one - I'm going to start a thread in hopes of collecting all the alternatives in one place.

I saw this on ebay. I was wondering if it would work for the Fiat 124? A Titanium muffler for $32.00

I'm not looking to insult anyone about what type of part this is for the Fiat. I know several people have their opinions. I would love to have a stock Fiat. It just happens mine isn't. Thx. :P

i think it looks nice, u just need to take some measurements under your car first.

it's stainless, not titanium. Replacing a stock muff with that unit will require an adapter. Your stock pipe is 1 3/4 and the inlet on the titanium unit is 2.5. Interesting that they color the tip like its' been real hot

Would it matter if I got an adapter to go from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 right before the muffler? Would it hurt performance or anything? I'm trying to restore this car and everyday it seems like something comes along and I'll never get the money I need. We'll I'm used to it. So would that one work? Thanks guys Oh, by the way I don't want to skimp on things. I want to do whats right for the car the first time. I all ready know it's definitely not stock.

that muff won't hurt performance, but don't expect to gain much either other than sound.

Ok but what will it sound like? I might be in the market soon for a new exhaust. I don't want it to sound like those annoying Hondas! My exhaust is straight back, no cat or resonators currently, plus the E-brake cable is tight against the exhaust. What would I gain by adding resonators to a new setup?
What is their function? Do they increase sound?? I am a bit fuzzy on their purpose!
Thanks

You might want to check how tight it is. Look what happened to this one on this car.

The resonator is a mini-muffler, designed to smooth out some of the sound. Here's my new installation; not yet complete, but you get the idea. Flowmaster #952060 plus aftermarket resonator.

This 60-series muffler is "supposed" to have low interior noise, according to their literature. I'll let you guys know how it sounds.

I have a muffler shop that ordered a 4" round by 14" polished stainless Magnaflow muffler. It seems as if the options for aftermarket mufflers are limited due to size. The muffler I'm replacing is a rested 3.5"x7x19". What will hang underneath there without any major customizing? I'm concerned the muffler that the guy ordered is too small and thus too loud.

Thanks
