Hi orford, Pete mentioned that for #3 before also...so, I guess I'm a little slow ...but I just found this on autoricambi site
My plug at the bottom of the radiator doesn't have a wire connected to it (My plug has an empty connector), so I guess the two different connector types threw me off...but I get it now...I'm going to order this piece and should be good I think for #3.
thx for thumping me with that info again...and for B and C
As for A, I can't find anywhere to plug it in near the throttle plate, can you elaborate? or anyone? a lot of pieces were off of the car and in tubs, and I've been putting them back on slowly but surely, but I'm limited to only what I already know. (insert joke here). Anyway, it could be that the piece that has the nipple for that hose isn't on the car yet, I just don't know what that piece is. I was kind of hoping that the piece I as missing screws into my missing bolt hole (B)....kill two birds with one stone.
thanks again
Ed

Check that 12VDC power to Number 3 is ALWAYS hot, even with the key out of the ignition. That will pretty much tell you it goes to the radiator thermostat.

Re: My first Spider
Thanks Pete that was the case. .I bought the switch and connector from Vick and will be putting it on tomorrow. .also, a follow up, I believe I had the oil and battery dash light wires backward, I switched them and both lights appear to work the way they should.
Vacuum hoses are next. I was looking for the nipple below the throttle plate to run the hose from the vacuum advance on the dizzy, and I found it but another hose was already connected there. .unfortunately I didn't think to take a pic....it's a hose that runs over on to a small white rectangular box on the sidewall. .it has a piece of tape that says "to aux air"? I'll try to get a pic of it tomorrow.
here's a thread that PO posted and there's a pic included ...you can see the little white box under the horn on the sidewall https://fiatspider.com/f15/viewtopic.php?t=6460

Re: My first Spider
Hmmmm, that is odd to me, I don't think that is factory original on any of the FI years, but I may be wrong. That small nipple under the throttle spring usually goes to the distributor vacuum advance. Odd. Sorry I can't add more.

Re: My first Spider
Thanks Pete, it turns out that little white box I think is a pump for the wiper spray. .
here's a pic of it
And just to update my progress. .here's a pic of where I'm at so far
I bought the fan switch and installed it then drove it (2nd time to actually drive it) to the gas station but noticed it getting hot, found out the fan isn't coming on...but the wire is hot and the fan comes on when you touch the bullet connector to metal, so I'm thinking the fan switch is bad and it's not telling the fan to come on...unless I'm not thinking about this right. It's there something I'm missing?
Thanks again
Ed
