People often choose a car 1st by it's physical appearance 2nd by the mechanics kinda how i choose my last few
girl friends. Anyone who is well educated when it comes to cars would choose the Spider over the Spitfire based
on it's mechanics and performance. On the looks well you might have to toss a coin I think they both look good
but that is my opinion. I'd say choose the car that you like and make it sound the way you want, the mufflers
are in charge of that part not the engine. You can make either Car sound about the same if you select identical
mufflers. The intakes may have more distinct tones based on manifold, carb and or FI designs but when it comes
to exhaust if you place the same muffler on a Mustang or Camero - Fiat vs Triump you wouldn't be able to tell them
apart by sound alone.

Very sorry to go off topic but am very curious to the rims on the white fiat, they are defiantly not Simmons or BBS, can anyone please help identify them.

Cheers

I owned a spitfire 20+ years ago, loved it, its a great little budget roadster but to be honest the spider is in a different league in every department!

And they're small! I road tested one before I bought my Spider and I could reach out and touch the spinning rear tire (not recommended). And with 2 people in the car you're touching shoulders, with the Fiat, not so.

My 2 cents. I really like the looks of a spitfire. The engine, not so much. Drop in a twin cam. Problem solved.

PininF: i think the wheels on my car are American Racing. They came with centercaps that had no logos on them so I bought Fiat decals from Mark Allison.
