I second those comments - an enormous amount of work going on here!! You've inspired me to post my own....

My Spider is a 67 as well. Its not all original anymore (bigger engine, later tail lights, Rally bumpers and seats, etc) what is your serial number? mine is low 3 digits and was manufactured in January 1967.

I had the same issue with the door strikers being different.. they look more like the ones on older alfas.

I was really lucky to find one that has no rust, as it has been in California since 1973

I do bodywork and car restorations for a living, so I know how much work it is to bring back a rusty car like you are doing. been there, done that!

I totally hate the way this web site cuts off images.

I forgot to say at the beginning - those look like Lancia Montecarlo (scorpion in the States) wheels that you started off with. Had no idea there were interchangeable.

March 14 update.

Car prepared for flame spray and flame sprayed applied to entire rear and doors.

This process is an alternative to lead wiping and provides a zinc metal coating to the entire car making it less likely to rust in the future.

We move onto the front next week...

'125' means it is a 1608cc motor, so not original. Your Spider also has taillights from a later Spider, and what looks like a custom made dashboard. Nice looking car!

My 68 restoration project is idle at the moment. I need to spend more time on this site, and in this thread in particular, and get the Fiat Mojo back. I did have my '69 out for it's first drive this weekend, so the fire is starting to return.

There is some local yahoo around here who is trying to sell a project 67 spider that sitting on blocks for 25 grand. Some people.

You have find that mojo Tim.. 124 spiders are quickly approaching 50 years...
