Yeah. That's why I want to drill the hole and do a nice big burping. I need to clean all my pods. A nice brush down and some dielectric grease.

One pod wire brushed and reconnected. Greased it all. Will hit the other pod in the engine bay. Is there one inside the car too?

There is one under the dash just left of center, above and to the right of the steering column. but they are not usually as bad as in the engine compartment. I blew both of the engine compartment pods away and redid them this way:

No problems now.

What is that thing called? Is it something they sell at the regular vendors? Or did you go grab it at a local parts place? Looks nice. Going to clean mine for now and replace them at some point.

Does that orange bungie hold back all your wires? I'm looking at my wires and thinking I need to hold them back a bit from the pulleys and such.

That orange wire (actually not a bungee) is the prior owner's override for the radiator fan switch! No need for it now, but I left it installed. The fan switch took a surprising amount of sorting out to make it work right. For the wires, I usually just take a bunch of Ty-Wraps and dress everything as neatly as I can, ensuring as little stress as possible on the wires, and trying to avoid rub/wear points.

The ground pod stuff I made up from parts sourced at my favorite electronics store in the world: U-Do-It Electronics in Needham, MA. A true Engineer's toy box!

I'm googling my brains out. Anyone ever source the white plastic door latch on the Spider 2000? The driver side has a hair line crack in it. It's not going to last. I can already feel that it doesn't "click" nicely.

Was that piece pressed on? if so perhaps someone in the parts for sale section might have a drivers side assembly.

I'm not sure. I haven't taken it apart yet. It's this white jobby here. If I can buy a new one I'd probably do that. But I will put out a call in the parts section when the time comes.

Engine and cooling system are all set. I'm having some problems with the alternator. Going to get a fresh battery, hook it up properly and do some tests to make sure. May need a new voltage regulator. I'd really like a 95amp but I don't have the money right now.

How'd you go about taking care of the cooling system issue? I'm still fighting mine. I know there's air in the hose from the thermostat to the outlet T, I can hear it when I shake the hose...
