Thanks a lot! I am thinking that the bolts must have screw or hex heads as the access hole is to small for a 10 mm socket.

I too like the raised hoods, the avatar picture is nice, maybe add a chrome or stainless screen in the hood inlets that would highlight the grill.

Gave me a reason to stip that door shell down to scrap. I wonder if anyone has taken apart and successfully reinstall that spaghetti of window regulator wires? One of the bottom rollers was frozen. That looks like a challenge.

Anyways its 10mm head so I guess its 8mm thread 3mm long with those washers you see.

Thank you very much!! The bottom rollers are easy, there are two bolts on the bottom of the door, take them out and the bar holding the two bottom rollers can be pulled out. I had to replace mine not hard at all. Pm me with an address and I will send you a couple that I have.

Thanks to the ACE Hardware stores large selection of stainless metric bolts I was able to get the right size for the vent window bolts....6 X 1.0 X 30mm. I really should have taken more pictures and kept better track of the parts, although taking over 4 years on the project didn't help either.

Thank you very much for the compliment!! I am really trying to make this car unique, I am going for what a 2015 fiat 124 should be in my mind. I have refused to go into debt on the car so that is why it has taken so long, but I think the light is showing at the end of the tunnel....or its some smartass with a flashlight!?!

I am working on the electrical, today's project was wiring the paddle shifter into the steering column. It was not hard but it was a pain juggling all the different adapter plates and ground wires. If you look close at the Nardi steering wheel you can see it got a boo boo, I have a buddy who is a wood worker hopefully he can just fix the polyurethane.

The little display above the center hub will display the gear the car is in, it can also display a ton of engine data but that would require an ECM or a very expensive adapter module.








It always amazes me to see pictures of organized garages.......here is mine, and I wonder why half my time is spent finding tools?!





You will note that the left side is not as bad as the right, that is because my wife parks her car on the left. She is at work so I will have to start cleaning shortly before she gets home........

One step forward......two or three back! I had bought a pair of GTO seats to put into the car, I removed the power base assembly but was able to keep the power recline. So today I spent 5 hrs fitting an aluminum base plate to the OEM sliders and seat mounts, I started with the passenger side because I apparently lost one of the driver side slider rails.

Here are some pictures of the "test" fit last year....maybe the car shrank?!





Now I should have known that things never work out in reality as good as they do in your mind but I thought I was onto a good thing....

REALITY SUCKS!!

You can see that they sit a lot higher than planned, I don't like the look plus I am only about a 1/4 inch from hitting a top bow





The side rubs but I knew it would but what I did not plan on was that the convertible top hits the seat back when it is lowered and will cause a rip in the leather. You can see it touching in the above picture.



You can see the aluminum plate..it is possible that I may be able to lower it some but today I am to frustrated to try.



Actually fits to the inside.



If any of you have any idea how to save this please let me know!! I would really like to keep the ability to adjust the seat forward and back.

I actually toyed with removing the floor mounts, shortening them, and reinstalling.

In the end - even at 6'6" - everything just about works with the Corbeau seats and brackets, and the boss (wife) is supremely happy with the seats for long distances.....

Sorry about the pictures they are misleading...its not the headrest that is to high, I can lower them by pressing a button, it is the seats themselves. I am 6.0 and the way I have them mounted is just to high.

Not a bad idea, but I am not a great fabricator, I am going to see about shaping the attachment plate under the seat so it folds around the sliders like the OEM pan does.
