Get this......even my wife was impressed with my find.

For two weeks, she tried to talk me out of it. Now that it is in the drive, she wants to take it around the block. Spare parts in the trunk, disheviled interior, air breather on the garage floor, and torn top.....she wants to be the first to drive it.

when I took the plugs out last night (in the dark with a trouble light) i was impressed at the ease in which they traveled on the threads....no overt force was needed.

i think it will be a keeper, so engineerted you are welcome to stop and look, but keep your beer.

and, Denise, that is exactly what i've said all along. now Missy agrees.

What beaut! Looks like a keeper to me. You'll have fun restoring it and then -- what a blast to drive! Don't forget to send pics when it's moving.

When he said six cylinders, I had to look at the pics' . It was probably an easy conversion. I think the chassis' were all the same. That thing should fly ! I've driven the GT6 and GT6+. This thing should be lighter :D ...J.D.

monday morning update....

after completely flushing the fuel system except the carbs, after buying a new fuel filter, after replacing the coil with a stock FIAT coil, after removing the fried battery (10 years w/out a charge makes for a very dead battery) and jumping to the full size conversion van, after several applications of A T F to the cylinders over a period of 3 days, after turning the crank over several times by hand....i was able to get the 6 cylinder to cough for about 10-20 revolutions. enough to remind me that the exhaust pipe is broken.

then, the carbs started puking fuel on the ground. gotta pull and clean 'em.

resurrection takes more than 3 days.....at least for a Triumph.

if we get it to run, we will be dubbing it "FrankenStein".
