Looking good! Keep an eye on those seams for us and tell us if they withstand normal body flex. I may be digging some seam sealer out of mine and having Ron repaint.

Why Denise,
Did you use a very cheap seam sealer? Is your cracking? It's probably the same stuff. Why didn't the shop tell you the name of the stuff? I bought seam sealer from Eastwood. It wasn't cheap. I guess I'll just use that unless someone redirects me.

Ok

The Seam sealer used was PPG Epoxy Seam Sealer, I'll have the actual product codes tomorrow

We used 3M seam sealer and it did crack so we thought that maybe we put too much in the seam. For some reason, the seam on my 72 is pretty deep but you could see the brass braising. The second time we didn't use as much seam sealer and even bought a brand new tube just in case the other was old but it didn't do a bit of good.

Did you use the 2 part stuff, (epoxy) like in the link in my post above or just the stuff in a tube? The epoxy stuff is alot better.

Oh, just bustin your chops Adrians. I know I'm going to have an issue. That's why I needed the name of the good stuff. Mine are deep on mine too Denise. Especially where I fabricated the Corvette lights. I wonder if using Rage body filler would be better. Or will that crack? I guess it's good it got cold or I would have had that filled already.

We used the tube of seam sealer. I'll show Ron this link since he's my body man. He's goint to need to know what to use for when I let him loose on my 71 and the X.

I'll report back in a few months about the seams and if they crack again.
