Having been spinning wrenches for 30 + years, I have heard this discussion before. Bottom line, gaskets and seals in good shape, installed properly, are not gonna leak any more with synthetic than with dino oil.
Any oil leak of any quantity on any engine, with whatever oil, is because of a problem with the seals and gaskets, not the oil.
If you're leaking oil, don't blame the oil.

Oil leaks??? I worked in a British Leyland dealership. Jeesh. We've got it good.

Change of seasons will sometimes bring on or stop oil leaks. For example, one year as soon as summer ended I had two oil leaks develop simultaneously, front and rear main seals. The seals were rock hard and in the colder weather they lost there flexability and maybe shrunk abit and thus leaked.
