I know that orange is not the prettiest colors out there, but I just got a spider back after 19 years. The orange has soo many good memories tied to it that I couldnt paint my new car anything else. It just would feel wrong.

Unless you love washing your car every time you take it out - never, EVER paint a car black  I love the look of SPYDUH and everybody remarks on her colour (a very, very deep metalic aubergine called Cherryblack Mica); but it shows up every bug splatter and dust particle ten times worse than other colours.

When the sun hits it at the right angle (or the camera flash in this case) it really brings out the purple.

The only reason I was granted permission from my Domestic Financial Director to purchase, convert and restore another car was that SHE would get to choose the colour scheme. I think she made a great selection knowing that I would be the one trying to maintain it.

I think the early color orange is absolutely beautiful. My 71 is supposed to be that eye popping bright orange and I'm hoping to get permission one day to restore it.

Rosso Corsa Ferrari red, The only true color for an italian car! This is not the same red that Fiat used on our spiders.

I am a sucker for the blue metallic with beige interior as I have two classic cars in this color combo. I like both the Ardesia (medium blue/grey), like Craig's, as well as the Azzurra (silver/blue) like mine pictured in Sam's post. Red is also a classic on any Italian car, and our Spiders are no exception. But in general, I prefer the later metallic color cars.

I love that deep cherry black! I would paint my car that color in a second if I could! Can I have the color code??? Wow....

But alas, I paid a hefty restoration price because I HAD to have the late spider in Black/Black. It was a custom ordered car. I have always loved and owned black cars because when they are clean they wow like no other. Another color is just not the same to me. We are even painting our other project car in black. Yes it's a lot of work but at least POR 15 also comes in black ;-)

My very first Fiat was the light met blue (1980). I loved that color at the time but still dreamed of owning one in black.
