I was removing a tail light assembly recently using an 8mm ring spanner and I dropped it. There is only about 2 inches for it to fall before it would hit the cable running along the bottom of the space.....no where else for it to go. Think I could find it ????? nooooooooo. No amount of magnet or lite helped. Had to go get a new one....

Many years ago (probably around 2000 or 2001) I was working on my Spider. At the end of the day I couldn't find my 13mm socket. I searched everywhere but to no avail. Last year I was fixing up the wiring to my fuel pump and found the socket wedged between the bottom of the fuel pump and the nut holding the front inboard corner of the fuel tank to the trunk floor. So they do turn up eventually!

Well on the weekend I was cleaning out my 2002 Calais ready for TradeIn this week and I found one of my Phillips head screwdrivers inside the center console ( under the console and inside the aircond piping ) and a missing 10mm spanner in the rear tail light assembly - bugger if I know how it got there ! !
