Any attempt at making plates unphotographable is of course illegal, as are radar detectors and even flashing your lights at on-coming vehicles to warn them of the impending finacial hazard.pope wrote:Curly,
Do you use photoblocker on your plates in Aussie land?
I'm old enough to recall when we had sensible speed limits in this neck of the woods. It was generally 35mph (60km/h) in built up areas, 50 (80) in intermediate zones and derestricted on the open road - that meant you could go as fast as you liked, so long as you could convince the Coppers that your speed wasn't dangerous for the conditions. I remember driving my newish Mini Cooper S back in the 70's at over 100mph on the highway and being caught and pulled over by a couple of the Boys-in-Blue who only wanted to check the little beast out beacause they couldn't believe a 'Brick' could go that fast!
These days, the car would be confiscated and crushed under 'Hoon' legislation, and I'd probably still be waiting to have my licence reinstated. (By the way - I now do Historic Racing in that same little Brick)
Sorry for the rant, but rampant over-regulation is endemic over here and it pisses me off
