Here are pics of the camshafts from the '82 engine - first one is intake side, second pic is exhaust side; third is both. Note heavy carbon coating on intake plenum in pic 1; spark plugs are heavily fouled as well (lots of incomplete fuel burning?). I plan to look at the currently-in-the-car '81 engine (leaks oil but runs good) camshafts for comparison (probably will be Monday before I have time). Thanks for your help.
