Re: fan not coming on
Dealing with this issue right now, as well. Had to change heater core and I don't think I got all the air out after getting it all back together. Also noticed a small leak...think the gasket going to the T at the top of the timing belt shield is bad. After filling and a little burping, the fan will come on around 230 degrees...

Re: fan not coming on
My fan wasn't coming on. I pulle all connections apart and sprayed with contact cleaner. Re-assembled and all is good. YMMV.
Re: fan not coming on
I finally got to checking out the problem with my fan not coming. I just wanted to post my results. No T in the hose so I started by jacking up the front end. Cap off radiator, heater on all the way. Started the car keeping an eye on radiator and temp. The coolant started to rise and eventually started overflowing so as suggested I started squeezing the lower hose, which was cool. After squeezing many times, I saw the burp in the radiator spout and the coolant level dropped. Waited a bit longer for the fan to kick on and sure enough at around 190 degrees it kicked out yahoo! Took for a drive and all is well. Thanks everyone! I'd be lost without this forum!
