After a good bath to wash off 37 years of gunk and replacing the shift forks, synchros and springs it's time to put it all back together. Can't wait to be able to use use 4th gear again without having to bitch slap it in to gear.

Trans rebuild finished and ready to go back in. Just waiting for the block to be bored and then on to the paint and body work...

Sure looks nice! In the pic from April 27th the bolt for the 5-R shift fork is not installed. I hope you did not forget about it

I think that was taken before I installed the shifter rod...
I did have a question about your short shifter adapter. How much shorter is it then the stock chrome shifter?? I was wanting to get the shifter down so it doesn't look like a shifter out of a rat rod.

Around 4" shorter, from memory.
