Limit to shimming A arm

Glad to hear it's not too difficult to replace those bolts... if I do need to remove the crossmember it should be pretty easy to find someone who can weld some new bolts on, and I can't see any reason not to go a little longer with the bolts in that process. That could be a "hack" solution for people who can't quite get their cars into alignment due to unibody warping...
