Mark,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered what deer had to do with a 'hit and run accident' ! - Deers don't usually stop and give details do they :D :D LOL

Kangaroos don't either :)

the first (lack of) animal control problem i had ... the deer hit me broad side! She ran RIGHT into my driver's door.

i was so glad that stuupid thing died, cuz my deductible is $500.00. Most expensive non-editible venison burger I never ate.

Michigan had 62,000 deer/auto accidents last and its up this year. One in six auto accidents is with a deer. I live in the city and they are in my backyard every day.

my insurance company refuses to put full coverage on my '99 Ranger anymore, as they've sent it to the body shop three times now. Freaking deer!

I think a congressional investigation into the aledged deer problem is in order, with the result being giant foam bumpers on all cars in MI to protect the deer

That is what I was talking about building, foam bumpers, what did you guys think I meant? But if I did mean anything else I would take the deer by the telephone pole first. Oddly enough we have the same propblem with deer down hear in Florida, as well as, wild hogs, cows, and alligators.

Sorry about the car ,Leesfer but it sounds like you will make out ok.The deductible will be a lot less than what you would have paid for the respray. Now since this has degenerated into Mutual of Omahas Wild Kingdom,if that buck got that close to my house he would be introduced to Mr. Ruger! He is huge. My wife did run over an alligator on the Fla. Turnpike...seriously!

speaking of uncommon roadkill, on my way up to big bear I ran over an owl in flight... Was swooping across the road and flew straight under me, he was huge too

gee, it seems if you want to live in a rural area one of the reasons would be that you like wildlife. if you don't want deer in your yard or roadway, move to the city. Then you only have to worry about coyotes, rats, possum, pets and the occassional old lady crossing the street

Mark...I do live in the city!!!!!!!!!!! Not on the edge of the city, but smack in the middle. And I have more deer than my summer home in the country. Its crazy! They recently added deer crossing signs in my subdivision.
