Postnote on those door handles being left on. I just gutted a door on my 72 project car and I can tell you it was NOT a pleasant experience. I broke a door handle stud, making it completely useless for anyone else and there must be 3000 nuts and bolts holding everything together. I would not want to reinstall all that mess! Thankfully, Ron did all of that when we did my other 72.

Single-stage urethane, PPG "Concept"

Couldn't find a 1970's color I liked, closest choice was Fiat #239 Bright Yellow, which was the right hue but way too intense for me. So I got some in alkyd enamel plus some white base, and mixed until it looked about right. Ended up 2:1 white:yellow. Have the formula, if anybody wants it. Also have chips of 100% #239, 67%, 50% and the final choice 33% if anybody is contemplating this color. Or you can see it full-size in 7 weeks. OMG 7 weeks! I better get cracking ....

Is "20-foot Denise" the same person who had tail lamp housings re-chromed?

PPG, huh? Never was a fan of PPG, but they make killer epoxy primer. Can't wait to check out your paint job. Does this mean you'll make it to FFO?
Yes, I had the taillamps chromed, but the car I'm working on doesn't have to be perfect since it will be a racer....and I'm just learning to drive. 8)

Mark, thanks for the offer! Wait until I mutilate the right side door handle and I can send you both.

Two coats DP48LF epoxy primer

...followed immediately with four coats of Concept
I think all modern paints are vastly superior to what was originally available. I guess the thing to do is select the body shop, then have them use what they want.

Yes, we will be at FFO. Owe friends in North Jersey a visit, so won't be there until lunchtime Saturday.
