well its the middle of August I might have my new to me spider going for a spin soon then there will be two in Vancouver, WA! Had to fix that massive oil leak on to the exhaust there really were not that many skeeters this year I did not need the smoke cloud.

Yes, the skeeters weren't to bad, but still I appreciate your contribution to their demise!
When I bought mine, I had a lot of oil leak fix'n to do. Would have then been nice to have a lift, and be able to degreese and steam clean the underside. I did the best I could with spray cans and a garden hose.
For the last number a month's I've noticed that the under engine area was again 'oily' looking, but was unable to find the oil leak. Last week I finally took it to my Italian mechanic (who is a great mechanic/reasonably priced. Glad to share his contact with you, if you are interested). He found the leak, which turned out to be an fuel injector. That replaced, along with all the old rubber gas lines and walla, no more leaks!
And the gas that was leaking has cleaned up the underside quite well.
