If it runs ok now then you may not need to. It may help if you have vapor-lock problems.

OK I installed one yesterday and put some miles on the car last night and this AM. That gasoline smell in the garage is completely gone now and it no longer has to crank to refill the carb bowl before starting in the AM. Thanks for the cheap and easy upgrade.
