Are you talking about the radiator fan or the heater fan under the dash.
I am assuming the radiator fan. There are two black wires that run from the thermo switch on the radiator. One comes from the fan and the other goes to a ground on the side of the engine compartment. Clean off the contacts on the thermo switch.
After 10 minutes, was the bottom radiator hose hot or cold. That is important. If hot, it could be a ground wire issue, or a bad thermo sensor. If cold, its because there is still air in the engine cooling system or the thermostat, where three cooling hoses connect together is bad or gummed up and not opening.
Also make sure that the bottle cap the black wire is grounded to on the engine compartment side is grounded well to the fender also
