I had a couple of issues with mine (not all the same time though)
1st was the rubber hose from the AFM to the throttle body had a crack underneath so I couldn't see it but when I revved the engine the crack would become larger and cause issue, a new rubber hose solved that.

2nd the track inside the AFM had worn out causing similar issues. Solution- Open up AFM and reposition the circuit board a little so a new track was swept

3rd Warped door-solution as others have mentioned

Yeah I have scoured the hose from AFM to Throttle but haven't found/felt anything. But for around $30 it probably could't hurt to replace. Ill open up the AFM hopefully soon to see whats going on in there.
Another thing I want to do is check my cap to see if any wires are rubbing or worn.
I've got a new fuel filter on the way so hopefully after I've run my checklist of potential problems, I'll have found a fix!
So far my list is:
-Check AFM for free motion/ wear.
-Replace fuel filter
-Ensure plenum screws and hose clamps are tight
-Check distributor cap for wear in wires
-Check spark plugs for wear/ correct gap
-Replace lambda sensor (once all else has been looked at)

Anything else I should check for?

So i just spent today fiddling around. I painted a cover (makes a surprising difference), took out my windshield washer bottle (it doesn't work so hopefully I can get it functional), and took off the air hose to check for cracks (nothing I could see). Putting everything back together I made sure everything was fitted tight and check all hoses related to air supply, andf the plenum bolts.
I started her up, as I always do after completing stuff like this to make sure I put it all back together right, and when I started it, voila! She idled smoothly at around 900rpms ( I know, a little high, but still a victory). I am so happy that fort the first time in more than a month I felt her run smooth. No telling what will happen tomorrow, but at least I know she's capable of it.
I still have a new fuel filter coming in. And I'll still replace the lambda, if it still runs smooth.

Sounds promising...
A couple of other issues I've had over the years.... A plug lead from the dist had worn from contact with the hood or hood pad and was arcing. I noticed when the hood was down(low) and the carport was dark. This caused a stumble/miss compared to when the car was running well.
The other was I had replaced the plugs with a new set and again there was a stumble so the same dark carport showed an arc between a bad/cracked plug and the head.
Just another think to check I suppose..

Okay so the stumble came back. It stayed away for a little while but has come back now. I will be checking the hoses again and probably replacing them, since it seems that one is loose, or has a hole. Hopefully this is actually the problem. I do think it is because it was running just about perfectly for that one day or so.
The work doesn't seem to end, but I'm not complaining!
