trunk wins the placement round ... 2 x 10 rough cut cedar scrap was trimmed to fit next to the battery.... kinda sits at an angle.... gouging and some sanding on the back of the wood gave me four points of contact with the car .... cleaned the contact areas and applied a adhesive silicone and pushed the board in place ...then countersunk a couple of self tappers holding the board to the car
the amp once wired will get screwed to the board... here is a pic of the amp just sitting against it .. you get the idea
signal wires and speaker wire will run down passenger side of car away from other wiring ... blue signal wire will follow other wires on drivers side of the car as it carries power (not much but enough ) .you might be able to see in the pic that I used some clear tubing to protect the wire as it got routed thru the holes ..... power and ground will be wired straight to the battery .....
I chose the trunk for ease of access... security and I felt it had a better chance of staying dry than behind the seat
