Yellow cam cover
Re: Yellow cam cover
Recently I chatted with a guy who casts Cam covers and possibly a timing belt cover. I'll keep in touch in case something develops!

Re: Yellow cam cover
I'm having the two cam covers chormed this week and I have a fibreglass replica of the the timing belt cover - which can be 'plastic' chromed - when I get to it.
I'll posts some photos next week.

Re: Yellow cam cover
What's wrong with yellow
These were powdecoated with a high-temp coating by the same place that was applying the ceramic coating to the headers.

Adrian, who have you found to do plastic chroming?adrians wrote:I'm having the two cam covers chormed this week and I have a fibreglass replica of the the timing belt cover - which can be 'plastic' chromed - when I get to it.

Also, please advise how much the chroming costs and whether you are happy with the end result. We only have a couple of options here and I have heard mixed reports regarding our chroming vendors.

Re: Yellow cam cover
Perthling - Hopefully getting them Friday morning .... will let you know.
PS one place wouldn't do alloy plating, the one I ended up using said 'no problem'.
The plastic chorming was from a company that advertises in Australian Classic Car mag. - I'll need to find it again.
EDIT - Found it http://www.dashboardcentre.com.au/infor ... ?info_id=2
