New member + need a photo or two ....
Re: New member + need a photo or two ....
I have a customer with a rear windscreen and it works very well. I found with my car that adding a roll bar completely changed/reduced the amount of wind turbulence
Re: New member + need a photo or two ....
Hi Stefan,
Yes, that is exactly what I'm talking about. Maybe it spoils the looks of the car, but I'm sure it will be useful and make the car more comfortable to use.
Unfortunately my car is incomplete at the back seat area, so I have no idea how the "Windschott" in the photo is installed. It seems to me, as it is mounted somehow at the hinges of the top? But how?

Hi MK,
all he writes there tells "easy to install" - no real tools required blabla... as he offers shipping to Finland I'd suggest you ask him for details - all that I could be saying would be a speculation.
ciao,
Stefan

Thank you, Stefan.
I will ask him, let's see what he says.
By the way, I used to live near Böblingen, not so far from you - I suppose? I worked at the IBM at that time. Schaffe, Schaffe, Häusle Baue!

Ouch -as I'm with HP... what company did you work for?
Yes, my office is in Böblingen - btw, where in inland are you located? I used to be in Espoo and Helsinki rather often for some projects two years ago, lovely but coooooold - and the only taxi drivers ever who used to go through the Autobahn exits with a powerslide...

Stefan

Re: New member + need a photo or two ....
I lived in Dagersheim and worked two years at IBM Schönaicher Str. ... but that was already almost 15 years ago.
I live now in Pieksämäki, that's about 300km north-east from Helsinki. Small and quiet village. But great for my other hobbies, hunting and fishing. And we have a nice US (+some others) car meeting every year: http://www.bigwheels.info/
If you should come over some time again let me know. Especially in the summer it's quite nice here. We live at a small farm and there is plenty of room for visitors.

Too bad I have not been able to reach cecat. If someone knows him, could you please let him know that I have arranged the transport for the back seat. And that he has some emails from me waiting at his mailbox since last week.
Re: New member + need a photo or two ....
Hi again,
I'm sorry to bother you all the time, but I think I still need help with the back seats.
I was happy to talk to "mdrburchette", who also sent me pics of her spare seat. But we both agree, that it is probably the "last resort", as the springs and the frame are quite rusty and may not live through sandblasting.
And unfortunately I have not been able to reach "cecat" at all, who offered me the other seat.
So please, if someone has a back seat that he/she could sell to me, I would be happy to hear about it. I will arrange the transport to Europe.
Best Greetings,
MK

There is a guy in Germany parting out his CS-1 (78) - I did ask him whether he has a spare backseat.... see here

Thank you Stefan, that was a good effort from you. No seat, just a shelf with loudspeakers if I understand correctly. Well, I will keep searching until I find it. Somebodys gotta have one that I can use.
And Thank you So Cal Mark, that is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm a bit nervous to build the windscreen, I would like to keep it pretty and slim, but I have no way to test it. So all I can do is to build it "bullet-proof" to resist all turbulence, let's hope it will not look too robust after I'm done.

How about this... http://cgi.ebay.ca/124-FIAT-DS-SPIDER-O ... dZViewItem The price is a bit steep, just shy of $1000.00 CDN. Heck I could probably buy all of the tools and parts needed and make my own for less.

FinnSpider, are you still looking for the rear seat? If so there is a pretty good set on Ebay:

Re: New member + need a photo or two ....
DAMN !!!! I just lost an eBay auction (German ebay) of real leather black seat. I offered 260 Euros ($ 405) but it wasn't enough, someone had more money in his pocket than I did
Thank you for your hint, Ron. The tan seat looks tempting, but unfortunately it is on the wrong side of USA and shipping to Europe will be very expensive. Best area would be around Los Angeles, from there I could get the shipping overseas as cheap as $50. Otherwise it will be more than I can afford at this moment.
Which brings me to the other eBay auction, that KillerB suggested. Unfortunately I have no idea what the thing in the photo is supposed to be, and even if I did I could not afford it. 650 Euros is alot of money in Finland. I'm sorry, but thank you anyway for your symphathy.
All help is still appreciated and welcome.
