Have you recovered from Sandy yet? I don't know if I told you, but I used to live in Asbury Park/Long Branch area in the early 80's when I had my '74 Spider.
Yeah we are all fine, but the Long Branch and Asbury beaches were badly damaged along with all the other coastal communities. The breath and extend of the damage, here and on the coastal areas of NYC, well, it’s unprecedented.

I'm in with this. Sorry, been slammed at work so I'll post up pictures and give a brief synopsis of the three cars that are now two.

Welcome stingray!

Sure. I think we'll be able to get something together.

Tell us a little about your car, and a picture would be great.

Good to have you on board as well sixcharlie!

I've had my spider since new. I got it just as I was getting out of graduate school. After I had it one year, it had about 40000 miles on it. Laying about the apartment one Sunday, I decided that was too much for one year. I took the speedo out, and about 15 minutes later, it only had 14000 miles.

I was working at Arnold Engineering Development Center http://www.arnold.af.mil, and my future wife lived in Charlotte. It's a 425 mile drive each way. Plus the trip to Nashville for some entertainment was about 70 miles. It added up.

Great Tom(?) !

I figured spring would give everyone a chance to get up to speed. I just had my Heater Valve Control poop out, so I've been out of service for a week now. Just got my part today and hopefully replace it this weekend.

Pics would be great.

Hi all.

I hope your holidays are going well.

I just wanted to keep this post going and also wanted to get feedback on a meeting place. I was thinking that meeting at the "Cars and Coffee" gatherings every first Saturday of the month (7:30-11:00am) might be a cool spot to meet. http://charlotte.carsandcoffee.info/

Thoughts? Has anyone been there before? I haven't but know a couple of people who have and they say it's usually has a good turn out.

Anymore Pics out there? :)

GT.

I like Spiders. Can I play in Charlotte's Web? If you can plan on a Sunday, I can be more active in the group. Got my Saturdays filled with racing from Spring to Fall. Here's a picture of one of my cars lined up for the annual Moonshine Rally, an event you all should consider participating in the first Saturday of June:

1978 124 Spider Lemons racer
1974 X19 SCCA racer (Paul)
2012 500 Prima Edizione #19 (Mini Rossa)
Ever changing count of parts cars....It's a disease!

Sure, the more the merrier.

I know a Sunday is probably better, and we'll most likely do that. Or both. :)

Great looking car! Looks like the same color as my old '74.

Thanks for posting and happy new year!
