I appreciate the information in this thread, and the care you are exercising in fixing up your car.
I just had to share what rust can really be .....
Note the amount of greenery that can be seen thru the floor. Looks like it's time to learn how to weld.

Ok, All.
This is what happened. I ordered an entire Outer Sill from Wolf. The Shop doing the repair suggested that it would be best to do the entire side. Turns out that was an excellent suggestion.
Here is what we found. The PO had "patched" the outer sill with another plate. That is why it looked funny. The Shop said that it looked like they heated the patch to dent it into the circles of the original. The Shop cut out the patch and here are some pics.
Excellent call on Azruss' part. He noticed that the jack points were not there and it did not "look right". The entire side is now being sealed (POR15 I believe) so I will not have to worry about this again. When it has a few days to cure, they will weld in the new outer sill and jack points.
I am putting this out for other potential Fiat owners to be aware of. Be very careful when you inspect a car before buying it. I am still glad I got this one, just wish I knew it better to negotiate a more fair price. Nothing is unfix-able. Just be prepared for the unexpected. If you do not know the PO, inspect everything yourself to be sure it is what you want. These are great cars but they have their issues.
I will put in another update when I get her back.
I can't wait!!!!!!

Yeah, one more thing on my list. This is the same car that I'm doing the gas tank swap that is on a current thread. This car is really beat up but darn thing does run. I should post the story about why you should patch your floors in the BS forum (or whatever it's called).
