spring problem

thanks every one, i read that in a book that i had bought on ebay last nite
it shows how u have it back on flat surface then u have theses spacers( call it what ever ) to measure the hiehgt of the car , u set 2 on each side and then u tight en all the bolts.
does any one use theses so call spacer/ pegs or what ever u call them

do you fiat owners do this when u get your suspension all worked over and new, with new shocks,trailing arms ?
just asking if this part is necessary , or is is just how a person opinion on how it sits ?

i do realize that this set up is for the years up to a 77. i believe. but just asking if this part is necessary. or as some one said , put it back on the ground with the weight of it self then tork your bolts
