Here are pix of my 70 with one foot in the grave. the speaker boxes were made from cutting up a irrigation pump cover. this accounts for the weird shape. the front are made from mexican marble (casted resin like used in hot tubs before acrylic ones took over the market). I took a flat sheet and radiused the edges with a router and layed on a clear coat. Originally covered with carpet that has since fell off. Foot room felt a little tight in the beginning, but i got used to it fast.
The clear box tape will stick fine to bare metal if it is clean and grease free. I used the tape to protect my existing paint while glassing my air dam to the call. (glassed a flange on the body so it would be a bolt on).
Another trick is if you want to create a edge radius, you can use old school modeling clay or plumbers putty.

Well my glassing skill level most likely wont rise to the idea I have in my head We shall see. Really just looking for enough "pocket space" to hold water/gatorade bottle.
