oil change interval

I have been using Mobil 1 Extended Performance 15W-50 that, according to Exxon-Mobil, not only contains higher levels of ZDDP (good for our valve trains), but is also good for 12 months between changes. They guarantee the 12 months or 12,000 miles part, for whatever that's worth. I have multiple cars that I store in the winter and use this same oil in all of them. I barely have enough time to change the oil once a year, let alone trying to do it twice.
