I had that happen to me a few days ago. Thought nothing of it. Thought it had something to do with the new version of IE I had just down loaded. Sounds to me like someone HAS been hacked and they dont know it yet. How else would the have the member list to try and hack more of us?

I have worked with 2 guys that have fallen for these schemes. One met a girl in Africa that he corresponded with for about 3 months before she convinced him to send her $20,000 so she could ship her life savings in gold bars to him and they would meet up and live happily ever after. The other was all set to send $4,500 to pay the taxes on his winnings for a lottery he never entered. He was bragging about how he was going to get all this money and pay off his mortgage. One of our co-workers took the information he had and showed him how to use google to search for the company. Big time scam. He got lucky, the other guy didn't.

My software is pretty good at catching these but I still get about one Nigerian offer a month. I am on a lot of mailing lists so I just report them as spam.
