Oh it fell off before that.
I'm going to build a new setup this winter. Have not decided rear or side exhaust.

On the exhaust issue.

Any recommendations?

for a race car side exhaust will be loud but a little more power in the higher RPM range !
not a lot of options for over the counter stuff Ansa stuff for the fiat isnt all that good
Vicks header is ok or you could go for Marks for a higher price tag .

I am sure the track has a db level allowed if so your going to need a muffler of some sort
or presilencer to tone it down .

I'm sticking with the current header which is a 4-1 setup.
I plan to mod the current setup with the muffler for the DB limited track, but yeah a side setup would be nice.

you may want to lose that glass pack they limit the exhaust dyno max has some oval low profile
mufflers that flow nice should fit in place of that glass pack .

I only have 1 track that I have to limit the DB and I don't think they will be hosting a race for us in 2011.

So straight pipe it is.

I like your roll cage and seat kirkey makes good stuff ! have fun on your next outing .

What type of camera did you use the sound was really good it didnt seem to get washed out
by the wind noise or engine ?

Thanks. Safety is very important to me.

So the cage is sort of over build for the class, but we do mix in with some larger cars so its logical.
We had planned for even more bracing, but it was causing access issues.

The camera is something I borrowed from work.

For audio ie wind noise I alway put some tape over the mic. Electrical or duct.
You still get some noise, but its greatly reduced.

vs untaped mic

I'm hoping to buy a GoPro for next season.

My Lemons racer has a pretty nice side exhaust with a glass pack. i am running a 4-2-1 and stock downpipe. We had a db limit at Kershaw. See if this pic helps any:

Ever changing count of parts cars....It's a disease!

Andre - You'd better double check Le Circuit - they use a roving microphone during DE events, with a maximum allowable of 92 db from trackside. Maybe they get an exemption for race weekends, but I'm just sayin'. Don't count out CMP just yet - the TP may be a club race.

Yeah I plan to make two systems. One with the muffler and one without.
They will be setup so the mounting holes/brackets are the same.

As for CMP we shall see.
If they are running the small track forget about it.
Boring. Anything without temptation is no fun. Not to mention the run down to turn 1 as well.
That always got my heart rate up.

If it's a club race, it's a safe bet that it will be full track. Local marshalling rules would apply. We'll have to wait for the new board to decide.

Yeah.

I will have to decide about 2011.

I did like MT, but was disappointed I could not use the race in my drivers log book to advance to my A's.

So might all be CASC races so I can get the signatures :)
