Cat removal?

I recall reading somewhere a few years ago, that you gain about 4 bhp by removing the cat converter. I understand that you need to attach the lead going to the sensor in it, to a good earth on the chassis.

But don't throw the old cat converter in the trash or landfill. They have platinum in then and if you find the right scrap metal recycler, you can get $30 for them.
