So....head is complete with Marks 274fi cams. Block is all back together......aux shaft lobe is off!

Question...I have Millers adjustable cam wheels with no marking. Before I slap the two together, how should everything be adjusted? Anything else?

from you pics i see the motor was not at TDC
it should have been set to TDC before you put on the head
when putting the head on you want them set to #1 intake about to open and exh just closed
as for the aux,put on the original pully, set it,then change and mark it
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

Joe - I had just placed the head on for looks :) #4 is at TDC now. Thanks for the info on the cam. Also, my AUX has no lobe so I don't think I need to worry about its location.

ok but the aux has to line up with the oil pasages
if it had a lobe it would be for a mecanical fuel pump
it needs to be at the 1oclock so it can oil the head and block

sorry this is bad information, there is no timing for the aux shaft except for the fuel pump lobe to miss the crankshaft/rod
there are no oil passages that require timing!

Yeup. If you have wacked the lobe off and plugged the oil galley, no need to worry about contacting #2 rod. Set the aux where ever you like then.
