The chrome on my rear bumper is in a bad state and I am about to remove it for either re-chroming or replacement. Re-chroming is hard to find and very expensive in rural France so I am inclined to order a replacement from Spider-Point.
What is the step by step procedure for taking off the bumper, I don't want to charge ahead and wreck something. The brackets do not need to come off.
Thanks in advance!

It's two bolts on the left side easy to access. on the right the fuel tank is in the way. It has to be removed to get at the bolt. There are several threads on this, try searching for bumperless or bumper romoval

I undone the tank bolts and simply raised the tank up with blocks to access the bolts. Worked fine. Did not have to drain the tank. Obviously the less fuel the better.
