:For those of you that say you cant get your car up high enough to use your creeper, you need taller jack stands."
My stands will go higher than the floor jack. I've purchased two jacks and they are only 1"-2" different.
I am wondering if getting the highest lift from the jack - then put jack stands under. THEN use a platform of MDF under the floor jack and then going higher. The idea has me nervous, but I can't think of a better way. The jacks I have looked at online seem to all be nearly the same in terms of how high the go.

Re: Mechanic's Creeper
As far as a jack, I am seriously considering this one. Although, I don't want to pay that much money, it is better than a stationary 2 or 4 post for me because you can put casters on it and roll your car around in your garage.
90 seconds to get your entire car up and down with an everyday drill and you can enter and exit on a creeper from any side.
By the way, I have no connection to the company whatsoever.

I have 2 size jack stands, the taller set gets the spider up there. I have 2 floor jacks fom harbor freight, well not the best, get the car up higher then I will ever need it. The jacks are the long orange ones.

Looks like anywhere from $1,645 + $150 S + H for the That ez lift new. Love the idea of 90 second drill operated car lift. The question is will it pay for itself over the next 30 years given the number of times one of your cars is up on jacks...... Maybe!!! temptation.... focus.... darn it!

Re: Mechanic's Creeper
In this photo of my car, you can see my creeper (the sit down one). I made it buy bolting a carry along stadium seat onto a small wooden moving dolly I got at harbor freight. It works really well as it sets very low, and lets you work without hurting your knees. When getting under the car, I made wooden stilts that sit on top of concrete blocks to go under the tires and raise the car up far enough to get under easily. I also use the car jack stands for extra support.
