Anyone know where or who has blank keys. I want a spare set for a 1978 124
key guy said he could not find a blank that would work.

These guys are a good source of blanks for our Spiders: http://keys4classics.com/

If you order from them, look carefully at the pictures of blanks on their website. Some are very similar.

They must be readily available, because my local kiosk locksmith (in the Fred Meyer parking lot) had both keys for my '77 (but only the ignition for my son's '70).
1977 Spider 1800 (SHELOB - driver)
1970 124 Sport Spider (99% complete barn find, now in my garage, awaiting restoration)
