Saturday, January 15th in Gaithersburg. Arrive early for a good seat; turnout usually exceeds 100 people. President-for-Life Todd always has an entertaining slide show of the previous year's activities. Bring cash - the auction is the sole fundraiser for the club. One item this year will be a weekend rental at Smith Mountain Lake. No dues; no secret handshake ... just lots of people who love to work on and drive these great cars.
IAP always has some new "show and tell" stuff for our cars, not yet in their catalog. This would be a great event to attend if you are a new owner, or thinking about buying a Fiat. Some will arrive in their Fiats, most in their DD's. Representatives from Criswell Fiat will be there, and (if their expected shipment arrives) test drives of the new 500 will be available.

Hey Bernie,
As soon as I get my car on the road. I plan on attending one of your meetings. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I'll try to drag a couple of the guys along.

That'd be great. The Web site will have events posted in plenty of time for planning. I don't know if I'll be at the Philly show this year, but I do want to make one of your breakfasts. Working on leaky heater core, new carpet, rear main seal and brake mods. Just a little light work this Winter

Re: DC Fiats annual meeting, 1/15
About 75 folks turned out for this year's meeting, and a dozen or so brave souls arrived in their Fiats. Shaun and Thad made the trip from Philly, Frank from IAP brought some goodies for the raffle, Luis from LiquiMoly made a brief presentation. Criswell Fiat hosted dessert afterwards, although their new 500s did not arrive in time for the show. Local member Brett stepped in and brought his imported 500 so the attendees would not be disappointed. Several great items in the silent auction, including a vacation rental at prez. Todd's Smith Mountain Lake home, will fund our efforts this year.
A very ambitious schedule for 2011 will soon be posted on the Website, including a Wounded Warriors drive with navigators from Walter Reed. Please check the site regularly for in- and out-of-area events.

Nice turn out! 75 people? Wow. I thought we had a nice turn out with our monthly breakfast.

I stand corrected: 57 people (four newbies) and 16 Italian cars. Ralph, you keep holding predictable, regular events and the club will surely grow.
